Uttarakhand is a Himalayan mountainous state where a rich reservoir of minerals and minor minerals is abundantly present. The major minerals include magnesite, limestone, and base metals (such as gold, silver, lead, etc.), while the minor minerals comprise local rock minerals like soapstone, silica sand, barite, etc. Additionally, riverbed minerals such as sand, gravel, and boulders are also available.

MM-11/Form-K is furnished by the Lessee to the vehicles carrying mineral out of the Mining Area. The vehicle driver has to carry a printed copy of the form during his journey to the destination. The delivery has to happen within the time stated in the MM-11/Form-K form.
Form-J/Form-N is generated by the Licensee for delivery of minerals picked from a Stockiest. This is generated by the stockiest. The vehicle driver needs to Acquire the Form-J/Form-N during his journey to the destination.
All vehicles bringing Mineral into the state need to procure an Inter-State Transit Pass. To Acquire the pass they first need to register. After registeration they can login and pay the regulating fees to obtain the Transit Pass.
